Standard Cockatiel

Description - The coloring of the standard cockatiel is the same as the coloring of wild cockatiels in Australia. Standard cockatiels are mostly gray with a pale grey abdomen. Their heads are mostly yellow with orange and sometimes white under the eyes.

Temperament - In a word lovable, Cockatiels are extremely friendly and often enjoy being handled by their owners. Cockatiels are relatively easy to train and some even speak a few words.

Sexing - Can not be determined visually.

Origin - Wild cockatiels are found in Autralia.

Trainability - Cockatiels are very trainable.

Loudness - relatively quite

Diet:

Cocaktiels should be fed a combination of pellets, fresh dark leafy greens, fresh orange, green and yellow vegitables, and a little high-quality seed mix.
